The Worlds Best Phone…

Ok, so I got the new iPhone 3G on Thursday and unsurprisingly I’ve been constantly on the thing since then. The phone is the dogs bollocks to use. Having the internet and emails on the go is nothing new, but having the internet and emails on the go on an iPhone IS. Reading emails in full HTML and finding directions around London on TFL in itself, is an absolute genius. I could go on. The fact is, its probably one of the best mobile internet devices out there but it for me, isn’t the best phone. The BlackBerry that I had before didn’t have anywhere near the quality of features that the iPhone does. Sure it did internet browsing but nothing to the degree that Apples mobile creation does. No Apps Store. No iTunes. No TFL. No iPod. But you know what? Those things don’t matter if you can’t get the most important things such as emails, SMS, the Recent Calls list even, to work properly. I know the Recent Calls list is something that could be changed with a simple software update. The iPhone’s on version 2 already and we still yet to have copy and paste nor can we deleted contacts individually from the Recent Calls list. The iPhones sublime touch screen technology is it’s downfall. You see, the BlackBerry’s QWERTY keyboard is for me the fastest typing format out. It’s so quick and so easy. I could type an SMS message, a whole paragraph on an email without having to look at the keyboard…

Having said all this I’m still using the iPhone, I can’t knock it’s capabilities. The iPhone is the worlds best mobile internet device. However, I still think the BlackBerry is the worlds best phone.
